This week, we have much to celebrate here at BCS!
At the district level, Bronson Community Schools was notified by the Michigan Department of Education for reducing its chronic absenteeism rate, a reflection of our collective effort to keep students engaged and learning every day! MDE extended an invitation for districts to present their strategies at an upcoming Implementation Support Network meeting, with the possibility of being featured in a statewide spotlight highlighting effective attendance practices.
At Ryan Elementary, Mrs. Karan Norton was selected as Branch County’s first-ever Inclusion and Belonging Recognition Award recipient, presented by the Branch ISD's Parent Advisory Committee. Her dedication to supporting colleagues and students models the way for what it means to lead with compassion and inclusion.
Also at Ryan Elementary, Mrs. Cheyenne Lutz was recognized locally and nationally through the Sturgis Journal’s Amazing Teacher Award! Her passion, creativity, and commitment to her students have earned well-deserved recognition on a national stage.
We are so proud of these achievements and the incredible people who make every day a Great Day to Be a Bronson Viking! #GDTBABV
