This afternoon, a tornado warning was issued for our area just as our buses were finishing their routes. We immediately reached out to our drivers and stayed in close communication with them as the weather developed.
Our drivers were fully prepared to stop and take appropriate measures if needed, including taking cover and moving students to the safest available location along their routes. Thankfully, conditions did not require that action, and all students arrived home safely.
We are so grateful for our drivers for their preparedness and attention to safety during these situations.

In continued recognition of National School Social Worker Week, we also celebrate Jana Alexander (Branch ISD Social Worker) and Shannan Lester (Insight Coldwater Social Worker). Both play an important role in caring for our students, and we are truly grateful for the collaboration we have between both Branch ISD & Insight Coldwater Hospital.
Thank you, Jana and Shannan, for the impact you make!

Please know that student safety is always our top priority, and at no time during this situation were students in danger.
The bus has been taken out of service for inspection, and a replacement bus is being used this afternoon. We appreciate our transportation team’s quick response and commitment to keeping students safe.
