Basic Courses: High School

Junior High: Fine arts exploratory for all seventh and eighth graders, physical education, health, computers, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

• Junior High Exploratory Classes:
  

  • 7th Grade: Band, Choir, technology education, keyboarding/Internet, computer, service learning, international cultures, speech, Science Alive!

  • 8th Grade: Band, Choir, technology education, computer, careers

Grading Periods: 3 times a year, plus 2 interim progress reports

Testing: Seventh, eighth, ninth and eleventh grade students take the MSTEP. Other assessments are used to identify student skill levels and analyze student growth throughout the year.

Special Academic Classes: These are offered for students who need additional academic attention.

Media Center: The media center serves as an extension of the classroom by providing reference, research, and supplemental materials. It is coordinated by a certified media consultant.
