If you’ve visited one of our schools or the central office, you know these people are the heart of our operations. They are the problem-solvers, the organizers, and the welcoming faces that greet you at the door.
We appreciate everything they do to support our students, families, and staff!

Barker, a longtime resident of the Bronson community, has lived in the area since 1998 and has spent his entire career serving Branch County. He currently serves as Deputy Chief of Police for the Bronson Police Department and brings more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, including roles as an officer, supervisor, and administrator.
Throughout his career, Barker has developed strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues. His professional background provides him with a deep understanding of working with diverse perspectives and addressing matters that impact the broader community.
“I am seeking this position because I want to help,” said Barker. “I believe that service to one’s community is essential to its success, and that our schools are a cornerstone of that success. This is an opportunity for me to give back to a community that has given me so much.”
The Board is excited to welcome Frank and looks forward to working with him and the community-focused perspective he brings.
Barker will serve in the seat vacated by Jordon Houtz which expires in December 2028. The seat will be up for election in the November 2026 election.
