We have reached another Positive Behavior goal at Ryan Elementary. So we are having a Pajama Jam-Dance Party in the Gym next Thursday during specials. Kids can wear their pajamas to school next Thursday and be ready to dance.

Ryan Elementary Healthy Snack Challenge
This month, our students are learning how to read nutrition labels and why healthy snacks matter. Each class has a Healthy Snack Challenge board. When a student brings a healthy snack for class, they add an apple to their class board. Once all the apples are filled, the class will celebrate with a healthy snack party during tech time.
Please help your child by sending nutritious snack options:
Fruits: Pack whole fruits like apples and grapes, or pre-slice them for easier eating. Berries, fruit salad, or unsweetened applesauce are also good choices.
Vegetables: Include raw veggie sticks like carrots, celery, cucumbers, and bell peppers, and pack a side of low-fat dip or hummus.
Protein and calcium: Meat, String cheese, Greek yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and unsalted nuts or seeds or low sugar protein shakes provide protein.
Grains: Choose whole-grain crackers, pretzels, or rice cakes to pair with dips or nut butters.

The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) is an organization that partners with communities served by Insight Hospital and focuses on supporting youth within those communities. With the recent closure of the Bronson Youth Center, SBEV is looking into the possibility of starting after-school and summer programs in Bronson for elementary students (grades K-5).
