Thank You to Our Generous Popcorn Fund Supporters!

We are incredibly thankful for the generous support that helps keep popcorn available for all our students without cost. Over the last two years, Derek Shaw from Edward Jones has been a wonderful popcorn sponsor. This year, several donors have joined in to help offset the cost, including Ayers-Oak Insurance (Tyler Losinski), F & B Wholesale (Humberto Martinez), Sturgis Bank & Trust (Jose Albarran), and Southern Michigan Bank & Trust (Adam Losinski), who also donated popcorn bags.

We sincerely appreciate their kindness and commitment to our school community!

Popsicles in the Park Celebration!

Our Ryan Elementary students have been working hard to achieve our Lead By Example goals, and we’re excited to share that we reached our first goal last week! To celebrate, our Student Senate chose three fun ideas for a school vote. “Popsicles in the Park” won by a close margin, with “Sliming Mrs. Bucklin” just behind. Looks like the sliming might still be coming this year!

Already this week, the school earned over 1,000 points together—a fantastic achievement. We’re so proud of our students—keep up the great work!

September Newsletter

Yesterday, our 3rd-grade students at Ryan Elementary joined Project Red: Agriculture Day at the Branch Area Careers Center. Along with peers from across Branch County, they rotated through stations to explore different aspects of local agriculture. It was a fun and educational day connecting students to our community’s farming roots!

3rd Grade- Harper McFall
I am nominating Harper as my student of the month. Without fail, Harper follows our Ryan Lead by Example expectations every day. She is ALWAYS following directions the first time, her eyes are focused on the teacher during a lesson, and she uses kind words to her peers and to adults. Harper is a model for others by leading quietly through example, always doing the right thing, and she helps pick up the classroom when it is needed (without being asked). She is a shining example for her classmates of what a Ryan Leader is.
Nominated by: Mrs. Harris

4th Grade- Clayre Phibbs
I want to nominate Clayre Phibbs. She is a natural leader in my classroom. Even though we have only been at school for two weeks, she has been trying her hardest. She has a great work ethic and wants to do her best. She also loves to help others. If she sees someone who needs help, she is right there to help them, no questions asked.
Nominated by: Miss Lull

5th Grade- Olivia Maust
This nomination is for Olivia Maust for Student of the Month. Olivia consistently demonstrates academic effort. She is deserving of this honor due to natural leadership, courage in overcoming personal fears, and commitment to helping others both inside and outside the classroom. Olivia inspires and motivates peers through her actions; she leads by example and takes initiative.
Already this year, Olivia confronted and overcame a personal fear, inspiring peers and her teacher. This personal victory is a reminder that success comes from pushing past one's comfort zone. Olivia's compassion and willingness to assist others make her a remarkable member of the school community. She is a supportive peer and friend.
Nominated by: Mrs. Skidmore

Also, a huge shout-out to Smitty's Pizza for donating a pizza to each of our Students of the Month. The kids were very excited!
