Bronson Community -
We are so grateful to our community for supporting our bond for the renovation/addition onto Anderson Elementary and to make additional updates to our facilities. Your support means so much, and we don't take it for granted.
Earlier this year, the district applied for a competitive school infrastructure grant through the Michigan Department of Education to help address facility needs identified in the their 2024 school facilities study. We want our community to know: we applied, we were competitive, and we didn't receive an award this round.
MDE received 187 applications from districts across Michigan requesting a combined $1.8 billion - more than 8 times the $224 million available. Our application met all program requirements, but in a highly competitive scoring process, other districts' applications scored higher.
Our bond will address many of our most pressing needs, but it doesn't cover everything. This grant would have helped us go further for our students and staff. We'll continue to pursue this and future funding opportunities to stretch every dollar as far as possible, and we'll keep the community informed every step of the way.

CURRENT/RETURNING BCS STUDENT ENROLLMENT for the 26-27 school year will open online using Skyward, soon! NOTE - This is for students who ended the 25-26 school year with us and will be returning for 26-27.
In order to complete the process, you need a Skyward Family Access account. If you already have a Skyward account, keep an eye out the week of July 13th for the notification that the system is open!

The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) is an organization that partners with communities served by Insight Hospital and focuses on supporting youth within those communities. With the recent closure of the Bronson Youth Center, SBEV is looking into the possibility of starting after-school and summer programs in Bronson for elementary students (grades K-5). Bronson Community Schools - Summer 2026 Office Hours
The parking lot portion of our summer project at the Jr/Sr High School site kicked off this morning with the demolition of our student parking lot.

As work continues at the Jr/Sr High School Athletic Complex and is set to begin on the student parking lot this week, please know that the entire area is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Please pay close attention to the signage on the property and do not enter or park in closed/restricted areas at any time (including weekends).
